GWINNETT COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT AND ON-CALL DESIGN

Atlas served as Gwinnett County’s program manager for the County’s Parks and Recreation SPLOST-funded capital improvement program from 2001 to 2010. Atlas managed the program throughout its duration which included design and construction of new and renovated park facilities for Gwinnett County.

Atlas’ responsibilities included, but were not limited to the following:

Program Management Assistance and Pre-Construction Activities – point of contact for all communication; scope definition; progress reports; budget and schedule; designer selection; oversight of design and contract document preparation and plan reviews; value engineering; constructability review; environmental, historical, and cultural management and permitting assistance; public information; administrative support; communication with County staff to facilitate design; and Board of Commissioners agenda item preparation.

Construction Services – bid analysis; award of contract recommendation; pre-construction conferences; submittal review; monthly coordination meetings; change order management; construction inspection; payment reviews; construction engineering; erosion control; contract administration; and project closeout.
