With a strong background in civil engineering and a passion for forward-looking mobility projects, Marc Segal has collaborated with innovators across the globe to help transform the way we move and enjoy our cities.

Marc resides in Austin, Texas where he received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. His experiences range from start-ups, design consultants to one of the largest transportation projects in the Central Texas region. Prior to joining Atlas, Marc’s experiences within Atkins Global afforded him the opportunity to not only work on engineering design and operations, but also to propose new initiatives and partnerships to provide infrastructure owners with increased data analytics.  Through working with the growing Intelligent Mobility team at Atkins and his recognized research in shared autonomous vehicle systems, Marc sees a brighter and sustainable future for moving people and goods on our paved surfaces.  As globalization and urbanization continue to shape our lives, Marc finds his passion within our built environment through detecting efficiencies and bio-mimicry to enable more sustainable and livable infrastructure.

As Atlas’ first Director of Innovation, Marc brings his experience in sustainability and an understanding of the social and environmental impacts of our transportation systems to improve our quality of life in the communities we serve.
